Don Ouellet opened Don’s Pizzeria in 1966. Don was a bush worker but left his job to pursue his dream of becoming a cook. The restaurant was first located on Algonquin Blvd where the Timmins police station was. Don then relocated to 50 Rea Street South and ran the business from this location for 30 years.
Don poured everything into the business, spending long hours perfecting his famous thin and crispy crust pizza. The business expanded over the years and now offers a full-service restaurant menu. Don passed away on May 28, 2003, but his dream still lives on. Don’s son Andre worked alongside his father for many years, and he now carries on the family tradition of making great pizza for Timmins residents! Visit us today and try some of our signature dishes.
